2: Look for the active ingredient ‘non nano zinc oxide’ which is your best shot at blocking damaging UVA and UVG rays. Most of the sunscreens you encounter in the US are chemical based meaning sun protection is provided by chemicals your skin absorbs. Instead, search for mineral based sun protection that includes ‘zinc oxide’ to prevent your skin from breaking down in the heat and absorbing the sunscreen.
3: If you’re baking in the sun, your sunscreen is only good for a max of an hour so make sure to reapply every 60 minutes, no matter what brand of sunscreen that you’re using.
