Look at Wendi’s arms. That alone should be inspiration to click play here, where you’ll see this is a REALLY good Pilates Arms Workout! Wendi’s secret is not lifting heavy for this arm sculpter – it’s about “repetition equals definition” and consistent time under tension. For this workout, we recommend SUPER light weights, or even just using 1lb water bottles or cans of soup as an option to still get a good burn. Let’s sculpt!
This workout does not include a cool-down, but we have some great options here!
If you’re looking for a gentle, low-impact way to gain long, lean muscle mass, improve coordination, and even improve bone density, try adding Wall Pilates to your fitness routine. All you’ll need is a mat and a wall for this Beginner Class that moves at a slower pace with a focus on core and hip opening. Find an open wall and let’s do this!
Let’s talk about working our core. For one hour. But not in the format where it is fast with bad form. This class is a combination of core exercises done with purpose and breathing. There is plenty of Yoga, Pilates and plain ol’ core work to make you stand straighter and stronger. We have a range of work from easy-peasy to pretty intense, so do what you can and then take a break when needed. Or take it up a notch! Very nice relaxing cool down at the end. (Because most of the work is done on the floor, you will note the first few minutes of the video does not show our entire bodies – but you don’t need to watch to follow. Great instruction and cues on what and how to do.)
Adding a focus on flexibility in your fitness routine is super important for a long list of reasons, like injury prevention and improved mobility just to name a couple. We love this Mat Pilates workout because it’s one of the best ways to gain and maintain flexibility. And at just 30 minutes with no equipment, this is an easy one to add in regularly. Reach for that play button and stretch it out!
If you’re looking for a great addition to your fitness program, this quick Mat Pilates session is for you! You’ll really dial in your focus on Core Stability and Strength movements to create gorgeous long, lean muscles and killer abs. With no equipment besides a mat (or towel), it’s simple. Just press play!
You asked for an at-home Pilates reformer workout and whoa, did we ever answer! In her SSoD debut, trainer Wendi delivers a low-impact, high-energy total body strength session for all the reformer fans out there. The moves are moderate to hard with modifications offered, and no matter your level, it’s designed to give you a major mobility boost. The vibe is strong and so are you, so let’s get after it!
Pro tip: this class is designed to be done on a Pilates reformer. If you don’t have access to one, we have lots of other great mat Pilates options to try!
Bring your Pilates ring for this Total-Body Mat Pilates sculpt session. Flow through traditional and more modern Pilates moves designed to create long lean muscles, using your ring for added assistance, as well as added intensity. Hit play to feel the burn!
One of the best ways to get a low-impact, full-body workout is in this classic mat Pilates class. With no special equipment needed (if you don’t have a mat, you can even use a beach towel), you will engage your muscles while focusing on centering, concentration, breath, and flow. Using these Pilates principles, you’ll increase mobility, strength, and balance, and gain long lean toned muscles. Press play to get it done!
This is not your typical core workout. It is a very slow, gentle but effective core workout that involves basic core exercises, Pilates, and Yoga practices. You do not really have to watch the screen to follow along – as you can see, the first few minutes, you can hardly see our upper bodies. (I guess I had the camera set too low!) BUT, I kinda like that fact since I want you to be into your moves, breathing, and form…so just listen to my prompts. Any move that seems difficult, please take it down and modify. Enjoy the relaxation at the end!
We love Pilates because it’s an amazing way to build flexibility and strength, especially in the core. Whether you’re new to Pilates, or even an expert, this beginner-friendly mat Pilates core workout is a great way to perfect your practice for optimal results. We’ll focus on form, alignment, breath, and moving with intention. Seek improvement and strive for progress over perfection.
If you love fusion workouts like us, you’ll love this “Pilardio” (you know: Pilates+Cardio) mashup workout. This HIIT-Pilates combo class kicks off with a body-weight HIIT segment with 10 exercises that you’ll sweat through two rounds of. Then cool it down on the mat with a lower-intensity Pilates session where Sam guides you through 15 of her favorite core-strengthening and body-lengthening moves. Hit play for this can’t-miss combo!
This pilates-inspired ab workout is perfect for when you want flatter abs because it targets all those deep abdominal muscles from the front, to the back, and to the sides (hello obliques).
