Problems w/ Riding at High RPMs When Indoor Cycling
I see it all the time when I go to other Spin/Cycling studios, legs flying like hummingbirds to hit that 130BPM clubbin’ beat. Butts are bouncing all over the place as the riders spin their wheels, going nowhere.
But…if they added some gear and rode with resistance they might actually get somewhere.
You see when you ride with resistance on your bike you can:
– Build Endurance
– Burn Calories
– Increase Lean Body Mass
– Improve Joint Health
– And more!
But if you’re riding with little to no resistance you may:
– Burn Few Calories
– Injure Yourself
– Look Silly
Typically if you’re over 110BPM you’re likely not riding with any gear. So, always remember to ride with resistance for best results!
