Spinning promotes an active lifestyle and is a great source of cardiovascular activity. Whether you’re new or old to spinning, a frequent question that pops up is “Should I spin every day of the week?“
For the regulars of spinning, the answer is give yourself at least a day of rest. By hitting the bike too many times a week, you can do damage, particularly to the hips and knees. Along with spinning, be sure to make time for strength training exercises in order to cover every major muscle group in a week.
As for the newbies, listen to your body. If weight loss is your goal, then aim for at least 5 hours a week on the bike. The more you exercise, the better results you’ll see but provide enough rest for your body so when you do work out, you reach maximum intensity.
